Pitch: Midnight Mass meets Mexican Gothic in this contemporary religious horror. Jabari Reid returns to his Appalachian hometown for his deacon uncle’s funeral, only to discover his uncle died in a crackhouse with Marcus Dixon, the pastor’s son, and no one–least of all the First Lady of the church–wants anyone asking questions.
As Jabari infiltrates the congregation in the present, Marcus’ story runs parallel in the past, both timelines barreling toward horrors untold. THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS has one thing to say: the church is now open.
Perfect for fans of S.A. Cosby, Stephen Graham Jones, and The Exorcist.

2023 is the year I will finish this adult religious/cult horror.
I thought of the idea early last year but got bogged down by other projects and life. Plus, it's the darkest story I've ever plotted, tone-wise. I needed time to figure out how I wanted to tell it.
Tbh, I also needed to find a therapist because this story holds a lot of my religious trauma. I worked through my complicated feelings about my childhood and my relationship with the church---the Black church, specifically.
In other news, I started a TikTok! Me!
I have a lot of social (including social media) anxiety, so I'm firmly out of my comfort zone. But that's where dreams live, right?
So here I am! Drafting this beast of a project! TikToking!
2023 will be interesting, to say the least.
